Medical Insurance

Insurance in eye care is unique because optometrists are providers for both vision and medical insurances. Sometimes we don't know which insurance will be billed until you are in the office. **NOTE: Although optometrists are licensed to treat many eye diseases, General Motor’s BCBS of Michigan plan requires that a patient with any medical complaint be seen by an ophthalmologist (eye surgeon) or file out of network for reimbursement.
